Alan Beckett, Defence Health Board Member Mr Alan Beckett BEc FCA GAICD

Alan is the Independent member on the Audit and Risk Committee of Note Printing Australia. He is a Non-Executive Director of Westbourne Credit Management Ltd, Westbourne Capital Pty Ltd, Meat & Livestock Australia Ltd, MLA Donor Company Ltd and Integrity Systems Company Ltd. Alan has a wealth of financial experience gained from a career in professional practice. He was Deputy Chairman of the Board of Partners of Ernst & Young Oceania, having previously held Managing Partner positions in the Melbourne Office and the Australian Assurance Practice of that firm. He also represented the Australian practice on both the International Executive Audit Committee and International Risk Committee.



Group Captain Susan Stothart CSC B Bus M Mgt GAICD

Susan has served for more than 30 years in the Royal Australian Air Force, both in a full-time and reserve capacity. Her expertise lies within the fields of logistics and human resource management. Susan also serves as a Director of RAAF Welfare Recreation Company.


Anthony Hambleton, Defence Health Board Member Colonel Anthony Hambleton AM CSC GAICD

Anthony has been in the Australian Army for 32 years. He has broad command, leadership and operational experience. He has considerable knowledge and exposure within the Defence personnel domain having served as Director General Personnel for Army. He is also a member of the Army Reserve.


Garry Richardson, Defence Health Board Member Mr Garry Richardson FAICD

Garry has broad experience in both the health and financial industries, being past Managing Director of NMHI (trading as HBA and Mutual Community), past Commissioner of PHIAC (now part of APRA), past Chair of Southern Health [now Monash Health], Housing Guarantee Fund, Health Super, Health Super Financial Services, Little Company of Mary Health Care and the National Blood Authority, and a past director of the National Board of Australian Red Cross and the International Federation of Health Funds.


Alice Williams, Defence Health Board Member Ms Alice Williams FCPA FAICD CFA ISFA AIF

Alice is also a Director of Equity Trustees Limited, Djerriwarrah Investments Ltd, Foreign Investment Review Board, Cooper Energy Ltd, Tobacco Free Portfolios Ltd, and a member of the Felton Bequest Committee.


Mr Robin Burns FAICD

Robin is the Chairman of Indue Ltd, a Director of 8IP Emerging Companies Ltd and the Weary Dunlop Rugby Foundation Ltd, and a member of the External Compliance Committee of PIMCO Australia Management Ltd.  Robin has more than 30 years of executive experience in financial services, including as Managing Director of Equity Trustees Ltd and prior CEO roles in superannuation, life and health insurance and stockbroking. 

Ms Carolyn Ireland MBA (Executive), CA, GAICD

Appointed to the Board in October 2018
Member of the Investment Committee 

Carolyn is also a Director of International Women’s Development Agency and has worked in senior roles in the finance, health insurance and investment sectors in organisations including Australian Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, Australian Unity Ltd, Macquarie Bank Ltd, and KPMG.



Wing Commander Amy Beck BE (Hons) LLB GAICD MIEAust

Appointed to the Board in October 2017

Amy has served in the Air Force for 27 years. Her expertise is in sustainment and engineering, particularly technology integration. She has applied this expertise to a range of aircraft types and support systems. Amy is currently focused on reshaping business to leverage the opportunities presented by technology.
