UnitingCare contract negotiations

UnitingCare was planning to terminate its agreement with Defence Health. After further negotiations, the agreement will now be renewed.

This means Defence Health members can continue to use their hospital cover for in-patient treatment at:

• The Wesley Hospital
• St Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital
• Buderim Private Hospital
• St Stephen’s Hospital, Hervey Bay.

UnitingCare will continue on our list of agreement private hospitals and any previously communicated termination and transition arrangements are no longer relevant.

While contracts may lapse from time to time, our goal is always to secure agreements that offer our members the most affordable coverage and the widest choice of hospitals.​​
