Treatment in a private hospital for a restricted service will incur significant out-of-pocket expenses. We cover the cost of a shared room in a public hospital.
You may upgrade your cover to receive hospital psychiatric services without a waiting period. You must have held continuous hospital cover for at least two months to be eligible for this exemption. The waiting period exemption is only available once in a person’s lifetime.
